01 — Why Global Path

Four things we commit to in writing.

Not adjectives. Each of these is something you can hold us to, and something you can ask any other consultancy to match.

01

One counsellor, start to visa

You get a name and a direct number on day one, and the same person is still on your file the week you fly. No handover to a "documentation team" once you have paid.

02

A shortlist built to survive a rejection

Every shortlist is split into reach, match and safe options, and we say plainly which is which. A list of eight dream universities is not a strategy.

03

Total cost quoted before you pay

Tuition, living costs, test and application fees, visa, flights and first-month setup — written down and added up before you commit to a country, not after.

04

We fill the visa form with you

Sitting together, on your screen, in your words. It is your declaration and your signature; an agent filling it for you is how avoidable refusals happen.

02 — What we do

Eight services, one file.

Everything below sits on the same student file, handled by the same counsellor. You can take one piece or all eight. Test preparation has a section of its own, further down.

01

Counselling

A profile review that ends with a written shortlist, not a brochure. We look at your marks, your budget and where you want to be in five years, in that order.

Ask about this — Counselling
04

Scholarships

We identify the scholarships you are actually eligible for, and help with the essays. We do not promise amounts, because nobody can.

Ask about this — Scholarships
08

Allied Services

Accommodation, forex, travel insurance, SIM cards and airport pickup — the things that go wrong in the first week if nobody arranges them.

Ask about this — Allied Services

03 — How it works

Five steps, about eight months.

Every step below tells you what you need to bring and roughly when it happens. Timelines shift with your intake, but the order never does.

  1. Profile & research

A free call, then a written shortlist split into reach, match and safe, with the total cost of each option beside it.

    You will need
Marksheets from Class 10 onwards, your CV, passport if you have one.
    Typical timing
    Week 1–3
  2. Test preparation

A diagnostic test sets the target and the plan. You book the real test only once the mocks say you are ready.

    You will need
Diagnostic score, ID for the test booking.
    Typical timing
    Week 3–12
  3. Apply & admit

Statement of purpose drafted with you, recommendations coordinated, portals submitted and tracked to decision.

    You will need
Transcripts, degree certificates, two recommendation letters, SOP, test scorecard, passport.
    Typical timing
    Week 10–20
  4. Visa & finance

Loan file first, because the sanction letter is a dependency for the visa. Then documents, form, mock interview, appointment.

    You will need
Offer letter, loan sanction, bank statements and their source documents, ITR, property papers if collateral applies.
    Typical timing
    Week 18–28
  5. Fly

Accommodation, forex, insurance, SIM and a pre-departure briefing — the things that go wrong in week one if nobody arranges them.

    You will need
Visa, tickets, insurance certificate, accommodation confirmation.
    Typical timing
    Week 26–32

04 — Where you could go

Ten destinations, compared honestly.

Each pass carries the university group that country is known for, how many institutions there are, and the two things you filter on first — the intake month and the IELTS band. Costs are course-specific, so we talk you through those on the call rather than printing a number you cannot hold us to.

Not sure which country fits your marks and your budget?

That is exactly what the first call is for. Leave your number and we call you — or scroll to the bottom of the page if you would rather write it out.

Get a callback

Three fields. A counsellor calls you back within one working day.

No fee for the first call. No obligation afterwards.

05 — Test preparation

Coaching for the test your offer depends on.

A diagnostic first, so you know which test suits you and what you actually need to work on. Small batches, weekly full-length mocks, and help booking the slot.

IELTS

Accepted across the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand, and by most US universities.

Duolingo

Taken at home, cheaper than the others. Acceptance varies by university — check before you book.

GRE

For masters and PhD admission, mainly in the United States. Many programmes have made it optional.

06 — In their words

Refer & earn

Invite a friend,
earn ₹25,000.

₹25,000 flat, per successful referral

Most of our students arrive through someone who has already been through it. Send us a friend, and when they enrol in a paid service you get ₹25,000 — the same amount whichever country or service they choose.

Two minutes. We call them, not you.

  1. Step 01 You introduce them
  2. Step 02 They enrol in a paid service
  3. Step 03 You are paid ₹25,000
Who you are referring
Your details, so we can pay you

A free consultation on its own does not trigger the payout — the referred student has to enrol in a paid service. There is no cap on how many people you refer.

07 — Who you would be working with

A small team that answers the phone.

Global Path Overseas advises Indian students on studying abroad — where to apply, what it will cost, and how to get through the visa. We are deliberately small. Every student gets a named counsellor rather than a queue, and that counsellor stays on the file until the departure date.

Most of what we do is unglamorous: checking a transcript against an entry requirement, spotting that a bank statement has an unexplained deposit in it, pushing a recommendation letter that has been sitting with a professor for three weeks. That work is the difference between an offer and a rejection, and it is not something a portal can do for you.

Before you shortlist a university, ask what happens after your visa is approved — not just before it. And ask any consultant this: what happens to my file if I do not take the service you are pushing?

08 — A message from our founder

Your global education journey starts with the right guidance.

At Global Path Overseas, we believe every student deserves personalised guidance based on their academic profile, career aspirations, budget and long-term goals.

Our mission is simple: to make overseas education more transparent, accessible and student-focused.

From choosing the right course and university to applications, scholarships, documentation, visa guidance and pre-departure support, our team stands beside students and their families at every stage of the journey.

We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We believe in understanding the student first, providing honest advice and helping them make decisions with confidence.

Your ambition is unique. Your journey should be too.

Welcome to Global Path Overseas — where we don't just help students go abroad, we help them move towards a better future.

09 — Questions

The things parents ask first.

If yours is not here, send it — the contact form below reaches a counsellor, not a queue.

Ask us directly

Application

Twelve to fifteen months before the intake you want. That gives you time to sit a language test, retake it if the score is short, gather transcripts and letters, and still make the early deadlines where most funding is decided. Starting six months out is possible; it just removes your options.

Between five and eight, split across reach, match and safe options. Fewer than five leaves you exposed to a single rejection. More than eight usually means the shortlist was never narrowed properly, and the applications get thinner as the list gets longer.

No. We run drafting sessions, ask the questions that surface your actual reasons, and edit what you write. Universities read thousands of these and an SOP written by somebody else reads like one. It is also grounds for withdrawal of an offer.

Marksheets and degree certificates for everything after Class 10, your passport, a CV, and your language test score if you have one. Letters of recommendation and the statement of purpose come later, once the shortlist is fixed.

We look at why. Usually it is one fixable thing — a test score, an unexplained gap, or a shortlist aimed too high. Most students in that position apply successfully to the next intake rather than the next year.

Visa

No, and neither can anyone else. A student visa is a government decision. What we can do is make sure your file is complete, your finances are documented the way the consulate expects, and you have practised the interview.

It varies by country and by season, from around two weeks to around three months. The queue is longest immediately before a major intake, which is the main argument for applying early.

Each country sets its own figure, usually one year of tuition plus one year of living costs, held for a minimum period before you apply. We give you the current number for your destination and check your documents against it before you book an appointment.

It has to be declared, and hiding it is far more damaging than the refusal itself. A refusal is not automatically fatal — what matters is whether the reason for it has been addressed.

In most destinations, yes, on a visitor visa. Rules on dependants who live with you are much tighter and several countries have restricted them recently, so this needs checking for your specific course and country.

Finance

Tuition plus living costs plus one-off costs — test fees, application fees, visa fees, flights, insurance and initial setup. Tuition and living costs vary far too much by city and course to be worth quoting as a single figure, so we work them out against your actual shortlist on the first call. Budget separately for the one-off costs, which typically run into a few lakh rupees.

The first consultation is free and there is no obligation after it. Any fee for later services is quoted in writing, in full, before you pay anything.

Several lenders offer unsecured loans up to a limit that depends on the university, the course and your co-applicant's income. Above that limit, collateral is usually required. We prepare the file; the lender decides.

We will not put a number on that, because it depends entirely on your profile and the university. What we will do is find every scholarship you are eligible for and help you apply before the deadlines.

Most student visas permit part-time work during term and full-time during vacations, with a weekly hour cap. Treat it as help with living costs, not as a way to fund tuition — no visa office accepts part-time earnings as proof of funds.

Tests

Check what your shortlisted universities and the destination's visa rules accept first, then pick. IELTS is accepted almost everywhere. PTE returns results fastest. TOEFL suits students who prefer typing to handwriting.

Most universities ask for IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, but the visa authority may set its own floor and some courses set higher ones. We check both numbers against your shortlist before you book the test.

Fewer programmes require them each year. For US masters in engineering and computer science the GRE still helps; for competitive MBA programmes the GMAT still matters. We check programme by programme rather than assuming.

Six to ten weeks of consistent work for IELTS, PTE or TOEFL if your English is already strong. Twelve to sixteen weeks for the GRE or GMAT. We start with a diagnostic test so the plan matches where you actually are.

Yes, and it is common. Universities usually take your best sitting. Book the retake far enough before your deadline that the result arrives in time — that is the mistake we see most often.
